Bulldog fans got good news Sunday as Kelley Jones chose to return to Starkville and Mississippi State added its first portal commitment.

Missouri wide receiver Marquis Johnson committed to Mississippi State football in the transfer portal on Jan. 4.

Mississippi State can put a positive spin on an otherwise disappointing season when it takes on Wake Forest in the 2026 Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
