Every night we visited charity hospital to film we had to climb the staircase consisting of 20 stories. It was one of my least favorite parts of exploring this 1,000,000 square foot hospital. In 2017 abandoned Charity Hospital was cleaned out using funds from FEMA that came out to $6.4 for the job. Almost everything that could be moved or thrown away including beds, biohazard waste, medical tools, files, small machinery, personal clothing, computers, and much much more was removed from the building.
